Telecom-West offers a complete suite of services to support your
Meridian 1 system.
Engineering Services
The Telecom-West Engineering Services department provides
engineering support for pre sales system design. An engineer will be
involved in the entire process of developing a Meridian 1 system that
will fully meet your RFP requirements and be provisioned to support your
future growth and application needs.
Engineering support does not end with the system sale. The same team is
available for consulting through the life cycle, and beyond, of your
communication system. Through our partnership with Nortel Networks, our
engineers are continuously receiving training and are notified of the
latest product developments.

Installation Services
Once Engineering Services has designed your Meridian 1
communications system, they work closely with the Installation
Department to ensure the system is installed per design. From the
Technicians installing the hardware to the CSR programming the database
to the team providing cutover support on Monday morning, you can rest
assured these people are the best in the business.
It is our standard that the installation must be done to the highest
quality possible. It has been proven over the years that if a system is
installed correctly and meets the expectations of the customer with a
smooth transition (Cut over), that system will provide years of quality
service.

Maintenance Services
Whether the system was sold and installed by Telecom-West or another
authorized Nortel Networks Distributor, our maintenance department will
provide the service necessary to keep your system performing as
designed. Our staff of maintenance technicians have the tools, knowledge
and parts required to make repairs and perform standard maintenance
without having to make excuses.
Should a technician need assistance solving a problem, we have a
complete technical support department ready to assist. If further
assistance is required, Nortel Networks Technical Support (ETAS) is
always available.

Project Management
Each installation and major project is assigned a Project Manager to
be the single point of contact for all issues pertaining to that
project. The Project Managers are responsible for attending weekly
status meetings, tracking equipment deliveries, assigning adequate
resources, making sure the customer is informed, and any other issue
that may arise.
Professional Project Management can make the difference between a
successful project and simply completing a project. It is the goal of
Telecom-West to be sure each and every installation, relocation,
expansion, or major MAC project is a success.

Voice and Data Cabling
Cabling goes hand in hand with communications. Our Voice and Data
Cabling Department is equipped to handle all your cabling needs. From
Riser cable installations to Category 3 and 5 station cabling to Fiber
optics, we can deliver.
Our cabling group can handle building your network room infrastructure
including overhead ladder rack, cable tray, relay racks, and data
cabinets.
We not only support large scale installations, but we also handle day to
day cabling requirements. If you need to have a single cable added or
relocated, we can handle that.

Comprehensive Training
Training is as equally important as design with a new system. Our
Training department will make sure all end users receive comprehensive
hands on training, including a training document tailor made for your
site. The trainers and the CSR's work hand in hand to ensure all
implemented features and services are explained and understood. Monthly
or quarterly training classes are available for new hires or as
refresher classes.
Training the Trainer services are available to educate someone on staff
to handle new hire orientations or out of town visitors.
If you need to know what all those little box's hanging on the wall do,
or what those flashing lights are supposed to indicate, we can teach
that as well. Basic system training can be done, at your facility or
ours, to teach you how to maintain your system. Not everyone wants to
become an expert, or spend weeks at a Nortel Networks training facility,
but many would like to know a little about the system they have invested
in. Give us a call to talk to a training specialist about your needs.
